What does the term opened box encompass? null

open box, means you get what you see.. the box was open

If this is for the UN55JU6500, I can almost guarantee that the open box is defective due to back light bleed. Samsung TV's are notorious for this. let alone the display panel lottery. Avoid Samsung, get a Sony or LG.

It was a returned product. Unknown why it was returned but sold at a reduced price. I am happy with my purchase of an open box.
