• You can only download apps from the Smart Hub. However you can mirror your Samsung device that has mirroring capabilities to your tv. That way you can use all your android apps on tv. And as for apple I mirror my laptop to my tv and like that i'm able to watch my iTunes purchases on tv but no games or apps

• yes, you need to connect it to the internet and have a Samsung account

• You should be able to download once attached to an internet/Wifi connection from the Apps Menu option.
