HD content still looks amazing. This TV delivers a television broadcast and plays DVDs or Blu ray disks in the format in which they are sent. So if you are watching an NFL game from your satellite receiver that broadcasts in 1080p at 60Hz, the TV will deliver the program at 1080p 60Hz. If you are using a newer blu ray player to upscale your current blu ray 1080p disks to 2160p, it will display in 2160p. Basically, the television does not upscale any content, it only matches the resolution and refresh rates to the signal it receives.
