  • QuestionWhat's the difference between this and the UN55KU6300FXZA model? I looks like this model may be exclusive only to Best Buy as I don't see anyone else selling it.

    Asked by Gary.

    • Answer Quite a few differences between this 6270 and big brothers 6290 and 6300. Both add the following features (missing from 6270). * Ultra Clear Panel: Yes * Color (Quantum Dot/Active Crystal/PurColor): PurColor * Depth Enhancing Technology: Contrast Enhancer * DTS Premium Sound: DTS Premium Sound 5.1 * Composite and Component inputs: Yes (older round red/white/yellow and red/green/blue inputs) * Stand color: Dark Titan (the 6270 color is Black) For 6300 add on: * Smart Remote (6270, 6290 Standard remote) * Bluetooth Headset Support Keep in mind the 6270 still shares a lot of great features with the other two, like: * HDR (High-Dynamic Range): HDR Premium * UHD Upscaling: Yes * Backlighting: Slim FLED (Direct) * WiFi, Ethernet, Digital Optical, 3 HDMI, 2 USB * Sound Output: 20W * Dolby: Dolby Digital Plus (what Netflix, Amazon, and ATSC broadcast uses) * Electronic Program Guide (Channel Guide): Yes (this is for ATSC digital antenna programs) Reference: http://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/4k-uhd-tvs/55--class-ku6270-6-series-4k-uhd-tv--2016-model--un55ku6270fxza/

  • QuestionAre there component or composite video inputs and this tv does not have a digital tuner?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The fact that it is a UHD TV lets you know that it has a digital tuner. FCC mandated that TV stations broadcast their OTA signal in HD... if it is a tv then it has an ATSC tuner otherwise it is a monitor.

  • QuestionWhats the difference between HDR and Ultra Hd? Is it worth it to upgrade if I only watch tv and movies...(not a game'r)

    Asked by MurphyG.

    • Answer Ultra HD (sometimes UDH or 4K) is all about resolution. The leap from DVD (480p) to HD (Bluray or 1080p) is the same kind of leap we made from HD to UHD (2160p!). HDR on the other hand is less of a big deal in my opinion, it's more about picture quality and contrast I believe. If you are not a gamer and only watch TV and Movies it may be wise to stick with a regular HD 1080p television. Here are some reasons to upgrade in the future, but I wouldn't until then. * You upgraded to Netflix Ultra HD for additional cost * You buy an Ultra HD Bluray player (discs come in the black cases instead of the blue) * You buy UHD streamable movies on Vudu * You watch UHD YouTube videos on your TV (very few exist right now). * You buy a future game console (Xbox One and Playstation 4 currently are not UHD, only HD) Also worth talking about TV size. Small TVs, say 52" and below look amazing in HD. I would consider UHD only in sizes 55" and above. Best of luck!

    Asked by dork.

    • Answer The Sam's Club version KU630D has several additional features over this Best Buy KU6270 version. In fact the KU630D seems virtually identical to the KU6300, which adds the following features that the KU6270 does not have. * Ultra Clear Panel: Yes * Color (Quantum Dot/Active Crystal/PurColor): PurColor * DTS Premium Sound: DTS Premium Sound 5.1 * Composite and Component inputs: Yes (older round red/white/yellow and red/green/blue inputs) * Bluetooth Headset Support * Smart Remote control Keep in mind the KU6270 still shares a lot of great features with its big sisters, like: * HDR (High-Dynamic Range): HDR Premium * UHD Upscaling: Yes * Backlighting: Slim FLED (Direct) * WiFi, Ethernet, Digital Optical, 3 HDMI, 2 USB * Dolby: Dolby Digital Plus (what Netflix, Amazon, and ATSC broadcast uses) * Electronic Program Guide (Channel Guide): Yes - this is for ATSC digital antenna programs

  • QuestionWhy does this have an ANALOG tuner (instead of digital)? Does this mean you have to use a converter box if you want to use an antenna instead of cable.?

    Asked by Julie.

    • Answer Built-in DTV ATSC / Clear QAM tuner. No converter box needed. BestBuy specs seem to have made a mistake saying it is Analog. Samsung.com says Digital DTV. http://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/4k-uhd-tvs/55--class-ku6270-6-series-4k-uhd-tv--2016-model--un55ku6270fxza/

  • QuestionUnder the specifications (here on Best Buy), why does it say "not available" for parts or labor warranty? Is there no manufacturers warranty on this tv?

    Asked by gottahaveit.

    • Answer There is indeed a warranty. Most likely the BestBuy web staff has to input so many details about each item on the website, that it some specifications are simply overlooked and not input. Samsung warranties all their products. Probably better details at Samsung.com.

  • QuestionWhat is the refresh rate?

    Asked by Jon.

    • Answer 60 Hz. Claim effective motion of 120. Difference is noticeable on standard 24 fps movies playing on screen since 120 is divisible by 24 while 60 is not. Thus more judder than true 120Hz. Cheaper models of various brands say "120 Hz motion" which is marketing speak for not true 120 Hz

    • Answer Yes, the TV does have the Red/white/yellow video and audio ports and it is compatible with Amazon ire TV.

  • QuestionWhat happens if I buy a 4K TV, but don't have a 4K Blu Ray Player, ROKU or cable? Is it better to get 4K now, or just 1080p now?

    Asked by Dan.

    • Answer Most tv stations only support/have 1080p programming. So it might be okay to go ahead and get the 4K for when they start using it. It's really up to you but I would first do some research on the programming you currently watch and see if 4K is for you.

  • QuestionIs the 60hz good enough for this TV size??? And is it real 4K or near?????

    Asked by Refreshrate.

    • Answer Yes, TV is real 4K certified 2160p (twice 1080p). 60Hz is good enough and TV specs by Samsung show it has a 120 MR (MotionRate). That means it should look more like 120Hz. But given that movies are filmed at 24fps, and televisions shows at 30fps rest assured 60Hz will look great for 4K.
