I believe the video game effect you are talking about is from the backlight in the LED that gave the picture a grey effect instead of a dark black as you would expect. Moving from plasma to this TV I feel it is able to produce the same level of deep blacks as you would expect from a plasma TV. I would certainly recommend going into a store to see it first hand.
A:AnswerI do not watch tv during the daytime. If too much light is coming through, close the drapes or blinds. The color is fantastic whether it is light or dark in the living room.
