• Yes it can. I used an optical cable to hook it to mine.

• Yes it can. I had mine hooked up via optical cable to my home theater system. Just need to go to sound menu and pick output on TV.

• You can connect it to an amp via HDMI or optical cable. Not sure if YOUR home stereo has compatible jacks.
