• No unless in my case I had to replace an older HDMI cable with one that would handle audio return for my surround sound thru my receiver

• Assuming you have HDMI cables you should be able to use the same cables you currently have.

• HDMI are the primary connections for VIDEO/TV into this TV. Also has Component IN/AV in. We haven't tried component connection but it better work so we can watch our old home movies!
