“If this is the latest smart TV, why does it not have a smart remote? I've heard several people who have called Samsung and they've sent them a new smart remote. Is this possible? I'm confused why Samsung's latest smart TV doesn't come w/ smart remote?”

I have this TV as of June and received the wrong remote-not compatible with most of the tv functions. I have to turn on my cable, look for the recorded programs and the channel listings with my Spectrum universal remote then go to the Samsung remote to turn on the TV and set the volume. Does anyone know if there is a smart remote that will work all the functions on this TV? Samsung was supposed to send me another remote but I haven't seen it yet. Pretty discouraging, but I like the TV alot!

It is based on the model number. so yes it is a new TV, but is a 6100 model number, we would have to purchase, JUST a guess, around a 7100 model number to get the smart remote features. The higher model number the more bells and whistles. so we could purchase an older tv with a higher model number, if you wanted smart remote. like i said I am far from an expert.
