  • QuestionLooking at this Samsung NX60A6511SS/AA with black porcelain top and the NX60A6711SS/AA with stainless steel cooking top, and wondering which is better for keeping clean and resisting discoloration, and the advantages and disadvantages of each top.

    • Answer The black is a dust magnet. We have central air/heat. Dust it off every few days, not an issue. With either finish, you have to be carful not to scratch it up when cleaning up a stubborn spill.

    • Answer Both are pretty much the same crap Neither works better then the other. It’s just a gimmick that doesn’t do anything different then baking your wings

  • QuestionIs this a TRUE convection oven or just convection?

    • Answer Hi, Annie. This one is a convection and not a true convection oven. I've owned this one for a couple months and love it. If you go to Samsung's website, you can go to the freestanding ranges and it will allow you to filter to show only the true convection ovens. When I looked a couple months ago, there were 4 models and they ranged in price from $200-$400 more than this one. They also have a slightly smaller oven capacity at 5.8 vs 6.0. Hope this helps!

As per checking, the griddle does not need to be seasoned anymore as it has a protective coating around it; however, it wouldn't hurt to season the grill to help the coating it already has.     • Answer It’s tricky because it says to hold for 3 secs. Don’t do that just press and release the settings button and then type in your current time and press release settings button again.

    • Answer Allows you to turn on oven remotely (on the way home with a pizza to bake and need it preheated?) and give you usage data like when it’s time to clean it. (And by clean it, I mean to push the buttons so it cleans itself. Lol)

    • Answer Both are great questions, Phoebe! This model offers two separate buttons on the control panel for standard bake and convection bake. This means you can choose whichever you want each time you use the oven. The self clean option on this model is a high heat self clean, though we do have many models with a steam clean feature as well. ^Jecca
