- Answer Hi Linda, Yes, corning ware or glassware can be used on the cooktop of this Samsung range model. We do not recommend using glass as a cooking ware since it may scratch the surface. QuestionI have older version & past several years the temperature is all over the place! I’ve had couple techs come & “fix” it but it never fails, especially days like Thanksgiving, it acts up. So hopefully Samsung has fixed this problem. Never buy again!

QuestionI read somewhere that this model doesn't require an external hood for venting. How does the smoke, steam, and other liquids from boiling/cooking vent? What about odors while cooking or baking? I'm good..but even I set off the smoke alarm now and again.

- Answer It's not a gas range so does not require an exterior vent. With the occasional smoke from something burning, just open a door or window to let the smoke out. A recirculating vent helps with steam but that's about it.
