It will, I am doing it right now. You need to realize that an HDMI only goes one way. If you have everything hooked up to your receiver and an HDMI going up to your TV to transfer video you need to also run a optical cable from your TV to your receiver to transfer sound, you can use other types of audio cables but optical is almost par with HDMI.
