A:AnswerDirecTV will provide a separate box that will connect via HDMI to your TV. If you have a wireless network, you can still access the SmartHub apps straight from the TV. You could also buy a digital HD antenna to access local channels without any subscription costs.

A:AnswerI would contact tech support. I do know that mounting over a fireplace is not recommended due to the potential of increased heat to the device. Make sure there are no wireless devices nearby that would mess with the speaker hardware.
A:AnswerI use a Logitech wireless keyboard which hooks up through the USB port. I use the touchpad built into the keyboard and it works fine. For some reason it will not work with the Netflix and YouTube apps. I get around that by opening YouTube through the web browser. I haven't tried that with Netflix yet.
