- Answer I was concerned about the same thing. I asked when I purchased the set and the salesman tried to convince me to buy a sound bar. I am 80 and midly hard of hearing. I am fine with the TV speakers. I do not need a sound bar.

QuestionDoes this use an 8-bit or 10-bit color panel?Curious what bit panel this uses. Also how would you rate the black levels on this tv? I saw this TV and an open-box 60js7000 for roughly the same price. I ultimately went with this one because of the native 120hz panel.

- Answer this is a 1k 60 inch 4k tv, it uses an 8 bit panel. If you want 10 bit you will have tot pay more.

- Answer It uses the standard Samsung remote code... What DIRECTV remote are you using? The newer remotes (rounded, smaller)... will auto setup through the STB. Else you can try going to: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/remote_codes2 to find the codes

- Answer yes it is good. You will probably want to turn auto motion to the "clear" setting though. I noticed in 3D mode even with automotion off you still get the soap opera effect. With the "clear" setting I don't get it. But yeah the 3d is great.
