• Yes it does. I have it on mine but my mantle has been reinforced to support the weight. It is still a heavy TV.

• I wouldn't risk it. I have mine on a 18" stand and it take up lots of the space. If I were you I would hang it on the wall above the mantle

• No. The stand is a little awkward. The stand sticks out in front of and behind the tv when it is set up, like a "V". It is pretty sturdy, but needs the support under the feet. They have an affordable wall mount, to hang it over your mantle. Hope that helps.
