QuestionDifferences between four different models?I am looking at the curved 65" 4K tv's, and I am confused over all the models. Can you tell me the big differences between the following models of the same 65" Class tv's? HU7250FXZA - $2799 HU8550FXZA - $3199 HU8700FXZA - $3399 HU9000FXZA - $4499

- Answer stoogeman, The HU7250 has a Clear Motion Rate of 960, and includes Voice Control, Smart Evolution, and has a Quad processor. This is a curved model. The HU8550 adds a Clear Motion Rate of 1200, which allows for Precision Black and an improved picture quality. Includes 4 pair of 3-D glasses. The panel is not curved. The HU8700 has a Clear Motion Rate of 1320, has Precision Black and is a curved model, also with 4 pairs of 3-D glasses. It's curved. The HU9000 adds a Quad Plus processor, which raises the Clear Motion Rate to 1440 (the highest available from Samsung this year), and adds a camera included for Skype capabilities. It adds Smart Interaction and Gesture Control. It also adds Auto Depth Enhancer features, and Samsung PurColor. And it's curved. All of them are compatible with the Samsung wireless keyboard, and all except the HU7250 have 3D. Does that help? --Mr. S

QuestionWhat is the One Connect Box/ Is this extra? How much is it?

- Answer The One Connect Box or One Connect Evolution Kit as it is formally called, allows you to upgrade your TV as new Smart Technology changes, without having to buy a whole new set. At this time, you do not need a One Connect Evolution Kit for the UN65HU8550 since it is already up to date. If you bought the 2013 Samsung F9000 or S9 UHD TV, you may need it to work with certain streaming video providers such as Net Flix. Basically it allows older TVs to use HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, MHL 3.0 and the HEVC codec specifications. Supposedly, Samsung will release new One Connect Evolution kits as needed to upgrade previous model TVs to the current standards. The cost is about $400.

QuestionHow come Samsung doesn't list the htz for the ultra 4k TV'sThere is talk that for a 3d Ultra 4k TV that is 55" and certainly larger than that, you need to have the bump up from 120htz refresh rate to 240htz. Nowhere does Samsung discuss this. The other Samsung TV's listed that are smaller mention the CMR and the Htz measurement. Why can't I get a clear cut answer? Is it because Samsung is not up to dealing with building a TV with a higher htz rate on their ultra 4k 3d/or not 3d TV's? Other manufacturers do list it. What is the refresh rate on the Samsung 8500 or 8550 3d Ultra 4k TV? I can't get a straight answer from anything I read. Buying a TV like this at this kind of pricepoint is not an annual even for me to spend money on. It's important not to make a mistake and buy something now. If it will be something that is built later in the year I can wait instead of buying something that is not ready yet.

- Answer I bought the 65" 8550 model UHD TV and it is indeed 120Hz refresh. The CMR is 1200 and I have not noticed any blurring as to refer that it should be a 240Hz instead of a 120Hz. I watch a lot of sports on it and I can say I am totally satisfied with the picture quality.

- Answer This HDTV come already connected to Netflix, Pandora, Skype, Facebook, YouTube, Hulu Plus, HBO GO, ESPN ScoreCenter. Other streaming options are downloadable, such as vudu.com.

- Answer Gordon thank you for your question today. You should be able to download the Amazon Prime Instant video application if it's not preloaded to the television. Samsung smarts televisions do support Amazon instant video. -Mimi

QuestionConnect One Box and wall mounted TVIs/can the One connect box be attached directly to the outside of the TV, or is it a separate piece? I've just had a TV wall mount area built in the house, with the HDMI and RJ45 cables running behind the wall to an entertainment center. Does this make the use of a new Samsung 4K TV obsolete?

- Answer Separate box. Don't know if it's wall mountable. It suppose to be adaptable for anything new. If you have a 4K screen you won't have to replace it as far I understand it.

- Answer Not sure of the spacing, but it is standard for a 65 inch tv. You can find the manual online for more info. Hope this helps

QuestionI've been trying to purchase the HU8550 since Black Friday, but it's continually "unavailable". Why keep promoting it if you can't get it?Is there any chance this will ever be available again? Sales prices keep being listed, but I cannot order for delivery or pick up. Why continue to promote a product that is constantly unavailable. Is it being discontinued?

- Answer I have found that the best wall mounting height for a flat screen tv regardless of size (space permitting) is to determine the exact vertical center of the tv and have that point at you're seated eye level when mounted on the wall. You will have to average out all the (ADULT) seated eye level heights. I have found this to be the optimum viewing height when seated at either the dining table / living room (couch) area.

- Answer The HU8550 is a 2014 Samsung LED 4K 3D Smart TV whereas the F8500 is a 2013 Samsung PLASMA 3D Smart TV. Both are excellent TV's but offer PROs and CONs. Here are some PROs: F8500: Superb black levels, fastest imaging for sports/gaming/action movies, and natural coloring. HU8550: Highest resolution imaging, crisp detailed images, brighter image, thinner/lighter design. I own a 65" HU8550 and my friend has the 64" F8500 and both are amazing televisions but we both chose differently.
