I have done A LOT of reading before purchasing a tv. Simple answer, no. The 2016 KS8000 and 9000 series had quantum dot. The 2017 MU8000 and 9000 models do not. Samsung did this so they could push the QLED as their "premium" line. You won't be disappointed with this tv, but just know that the KS8000 and 9000 have been known to provide deeper blacks and more color because of the quantum dot and can be found for roughly the same price as the new MU models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This a premium tv but not quite qdots. It is the step right before you get to qdots. But you will know you got qdots because it will cost you about 3k.
