“Does this TV throw off heat, like the plasma TV’s? Also, will it automatically turn down the volume during commercials? What exactly does the smart sound do? Thank you!”

There is no heat from the TV. Picture quality is awesome. We got the 65" TV. Regarding volume reduction during commercials, we do not have that function. Sound is awesome, but we had a SONOS sound bar installed, rear speakers, and subwoofer. The TV is installed in our sunroom, which is on the southwest portion of our house and gets plenty of sun. The sunlight doesn't affect the TV. We haven't used much of the other features of the TV yet. We just like to watch TV, live and recorded. Will post more as we use the other smart features. Sound is really incredible. Scares the dogs sometimes, as I like the volume high to get the full effect of the system.
