Is the electric dryer energy efficient? null

To also make it more energy efficient you would want to use a good sturdy metal duct system. When I did support for Samsung products I learned that because the drier blower is so strong more lint was getting caught in kinks and elbows in the vents because customers were using the flexible aluminum ducting. That will cause the drier to run longer if you run into that problem. They are still very good products but do your homework before making a purchase.

In my opinion, Yes. The dryer blower is greatly improved from the older units causing the moisture to be more rapidly removed from the clothing. This reduces the amount of time the heating elements need to be powered.
