There is a connection that comes with the dryer that connects to the washers water connection

Yes, you need a "Y" adaptor from where you attach the hose for your washing machine. From that adaptor, you run another water hose to the bottom of the dryer on the back-side.

Yes, it does require a hose hookup. I used a “T” to do it and BestBuy should’ve installed it that way if you ordered the parts with it. Their installation was disastrous! I do not recommend their services!!

Yes it requires a water hookup. Best Buy installed ours and used a splitter on one of the water lines for the washer and connected the dryer water that way
