As long as your laptop has SATA which I believe it does.

Just check the manufacturer site for instructions on how to change out the drive. It come with great software to automate the HDD copy process for you if you have an external connection, or can mount both drives into your desktop.

To mount this in a PC many installers use a bracket (Sabrent makes some nice ones). Also, these drive are very light and can be Velcro-ed in larger desktop PC's if you are on a budget. They have NO moving parts. The drive also comes with cloning software.
