• My 850V 250 gig did not come with any mounting brackets and I have a Windows PC. Took me 20 minutes to jury rig a way to install in the drive slot. Unit is extremely small and will fit in any 3.5 drive housing regardless of make or model.

• It's recommended to use a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter plate -- a $10-15 part. If it's the older tower style Mac Pro then yes I would use an adapter.

• Yes, I'm using 2 in my Mac Pro. You can buy the adapters at OWC & they are not expensive.
