If you're familiar with the insides of a computer then this upgrade should be a breeze for you. Use the included software to transfer (clone) your boot drive information over and your pretty much done. It's no real difference between replacing HHD or SSD. The treat is that's it's a much quicker process. Start with your power off to hook up cables turn machine on start software and follow directions. All pretty straightforward and easy. Have fun! Enjoy the load differences. If you plan on having more than on SSD then I would acquire a dual mounting bracket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No issues at all.. I have used this as a boot drive in a Mac. As the boot drive (C drive) in a NUC running Windows 10 Pro. Both scenarios have worked without a hitch. If you wish to retain the contents of your existing boot drive, you will need to use the appropriating cloning software to make a copy.

The installation was easy and the data transfer via the provided software was easy. I don't recall having any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using it as an external disk and so far no problems. But wouldn't know of any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had best buy install a 2 T (Samsung) solid state hard drive in my new HP portable that I purchased from Best Buy. I have a large Karaoke Database which started acting up on my Desktop. I think I found the perfect solution. Searching through 240,000 songs is quick and works flawlessly. I am a non professional who runs private Karaoke events for socializing and fun. When you have a sizeable audience the show has to keep running smoothly. No problem quickly searching the database for songs or switching to Pandora for a break.
