If you can shrink the drive size under 500GB from DIsk Management, you can use this model. If not, you have to buy an 1TB one.

Yes, it should be compatible just check to see if the hard drive in the computer is a 2.5" drive (most laptops are so I doubt yours isn't) and it should fit perfectly into your laptop.

It should work just fine. SATA is SATA. Only problem I could forsee (and this is mostly a guess) is that the VAIO might only support SATA II. But I doubt the CPU in that laptop could reach SATA III speeds. As far as compatibility goes, it should be fine. Oh and if you want to clone your HDD onto this drive you may not be able to due to this drive being smaller.
