You must buy everything else. It only comes with the SSD only - as in there is only 1 thing inside the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine came with neither a cable or a CD. I already had an SATA to USB cable that allowed me to easily connect the new drive to my laptop. For cloning software, you CAN download free software from Samsung called "Magician" that allows you to clone the new drive from an old drive. There was even a card inside the box that directed you to this software. I used it and it worked fine for me.

You can also download their user manual. If you are cloning a laptop, you will need a $12 cable (https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB3S2SAT3CB-Drive-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00HJZJI84). Check YouTube if you need "see" how things are done.

The SSD Drive comes with nothing but the drive. You can find plenty of YouTube videos to show you how. The only thing you really need to buy is a cable ($10 and up). You don't need one with a power cord unless you plan to do upgrades with 3" drives in the future.

My 10 year old HP computer needed a SATA data cable plus a power adapter cable and a 3.5 to 2.5 inch adapter mount. I also purchased a AOMEI ghosting program to copy everything from the HDD to the SSD. This doesn't include a prior purchase of a Windows 10 Professional DVD to upgrade from Windows 7 Professional. It would have only cost a little more to purchase a new PC with similar features. This was more of a personal challenge not worth repeating.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a bare drive that is a direct bolt-in replacement for any 2.5" (7mm thick) SATA III HDD. It does not include any cables or external drive enclosure. Software is readily available to ghost the drive but I would suggest letting the Geek Squad team handle that as they already have several types of software, drivers and temporary cables/enclosures & etc to do the job quickly and with a guarantee.
