Will a SSD work in your CPU?!?! Definitely not.

Yes, as long as you have a available Sata port, the X51 has 2 sata ports, one is for DVD/RW (if equipped) and one for the normal hard drive. Now I'm not sure on the R2 Dell Alienware might have put a extra Sata Port in that unit and maybe even a M2 drive port , I would check the manual for that unit at dell.
