this drive will work but you maybe sacrificing space. if your looking for speed this 1tb ssd is for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a standard size notebook drive (2.5in) so as long as your laptop uses a SATA connection for the drive it should work.

When I bought my new DELL I was very disappointed that neither DELL nor Best Buy could confirm what popular Memory expansion cards, SSD/SATA drives and M.2 SSD cards would even fit/work in this computer. Best Buy didn't even carry any of the larger M.2 or SSD SATA drives in stock and had no availability at all of a single 16GB Memory Expansion Card to fit my new DELL. I spent hours upon hours doing my own research and chose all Samsung products to upgrade my new laptop to all of the speed & performance I could obtain. Let me save you all of that time and pain now that I've successfully upgraded & tested my new Inspiron 17 7777: I added a Samsung EVO 970 500GB (NVMe) M.2 card to the empty buss slot as my new C: boot/programs drive (the mounting screw IS already in place on the motherboard so no kit needed) and replaced the mechanical 2TB HDD with the Samsung EVO 860 SSD 1TB as my storage drive (I had to go to Amazon to source the single 16GB RAM upgrade card). The performance boost of my upgrades is off of the chart! Both SSD drives are available with more or less memory depending on your needs. I just chose what was the largest & most cost effective SSDs at the time for my needs and am saving tons of time as I use this computer 12+ hours per day for heavy video/animation rendering and other CPU/Memory/Storage dependent tasks. Both SSDs are SILENT and run VERY COOL which is extremely important for the heavy loads I apply to the i7/gen8 processor. These Samsung SSD drives are slightly more expensive than some of the cheapies but they are the most bang for the buck in the summer of 2018.... :)
