Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've noticed on several videos that show the HP Split drive replacement, that 860 EVO SSD drives will not fit directly to this laptop. This computer uses a specific non-sata connection that I'm not familiar with. It does use a hybrid drive by Western Digital Black edition. According to a video from Youtube, "HP Split Hard Drive Replacement and Hard Drive Recovery", you can purchase an adaptor that fits on this HP Split Laptop, for an EVO SSD sata drive, from AMAZON. SNANSHI WD5000 to 2.5" Sata Adapter Card http://amzn.to/2gwaqGK Remember to use a USB to SATA Drive chord and back-up your data to the new SSD first, else you will need an OS DVD and start a completely new system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is compatible with any device that can use a FAT formatted USB device. This is only a 2.0 speed, so this is better for transporting data from Point A to Point B, rather than using it as additional, on demand storage requiring a lot of reads and writes . Plus this model is not a large capacity device.
