• I don't see why not. It's a 2-1/2" form factor. You'll have to remove your original ssd from the laptop and install the Samsung in it's place.

• Yes - This is 2.5 inch native to the E7240, E7440, E5440, E6430 and just about anything in the Ivy Bridge and Haswell family business-class laptops that Dell made. I installed SSD in my E5440 and it works terrific with Linux Mint.
