Yes. You would have to replace the current m.2 that is installed.

Yes it will fit, it is an m.2 nvme slot on the motherboard. You will have to replace the 512gb ssd though.

Yes, since you already have an M.2 drive you would just interchange it. Since you would be installing a new drive you will have to reload Windows, so make sure you have your Windows license key no. to input.

Not sure about the HP. I bought it for a Lenovo Yoga 720 and it works perfectly.

Shouldn't be an issue. The laptop has a M.2 PCIe NVMe slot, and seems to accept a 2280, and the 970 Evo Plus is a 2280 (22mm x 80mm) form factor.
