Is this compatible with the ASUS ROG Strix G15? null

Jay: Yes, this drive is compatible with the ASUS ROG Strix G15 M.2 slot it has available. However, specs indicate this laptop supports 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. Our 980, 980 PRO or 980 PRO w/Heatsink drives would be most compatible with this laptop. - Samsung Memory

The Asus site indicates the ROG Strix G15 laptop comes with a PCIE 4.0 1TB NVMe drive. This is a PCIe 3 NVMe. It should work but with slower read and write speeds. Can't tell if the laptop has a second NVMe slot if you just want more space. Bottom Line: It should work, but not sure why would want to do so.
