It does not come with heating pads. I imagine that there is always a possibility that it overheats but what gives me security is that Samsung offers the "MAGICIAN" program with which I was able to clone my disk very easily and also monitors the installed disks and one piece of information that it always provides is the temperature at which they are working. I noticed that an SDD always works below 150° F and will alert in case of overheating. I hope it is useful to you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it does not, so far using it for a bit more than a week, its warm, but nothing too crazy
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jems: The 970 EVO Plus does not include a heatsink. Samsung NVMe SSDs maintain optimal performance thanks to Samsung’s advanced design and manufacturing capabilities coupled with an integrated, heat dissipating thermal label. In rare instances of extreme workloads (transfer of several hundreds of GB), performance may be throttled through Samsung’s dynamic thermal throttling algorithm to protect the SSDs integrity. Please be aware, however, that an external heat source such as a high-powered graphics card, or CPU placed in close proximity to the SSD, can adversely affect airflow around a Samsung NVMe SSD which may lead to performance degradation. Therefore, please ensure there is appropriate airflow around your SSD. Should you have any further questions or concerns we can help you with, please contact Samsung Customer Support.
