According to the manual you should be good. I did my daughter's G7 and it was a little finicky the first boot after migrating the image over. I boored it in safe mode with networking first to get it up, then after that she was fine. You may have to disable secure boot temporary in the bios until you the drive loaded.

From what I can tell, yes your computer does support this SSD. It looks like your laptop comes with an m.2 NvMe SSD and a standard sata HDD. The only catch is you will have to reinstall the OS on the new SSD because there is only one m.2 slot and the current SSD is what your OS is currently installed on.
