• Yes, you have to have Wi-Fi to do things like stream online videos on this player. The built-in Wi-Fi feature simply "finds" your available connection and connects to it.

• No internet is needed to watch DVDs or Blu-rays. If you want to use the smart features, you must connect the player to the internet, just as your PC or smart phone would be. That can be with a cable or via your home WiFi connection.

• Yes, I do have a wi-fi account set up, and the process to add the wifi to the player is very easy!
