You can get a regular television, as this will have many of the same Apps as Samsung Smart Televisions. However, many of the upgraded TV models have it included already as a feature without a huge price increase, so having Smart TV twice is better than not having Smart TV at all. Please try again later.From a content perspective, you're probably better off getting a Roku streaming media player (1000+ channels) or some other streaming appliance, like the Samsung blu-ray player, than getting a Smart TV. You'll have far more flexibility by getting a streaming device without paying the extra to get a smart tv with less (and overlapping) at the same time.
