“Can this device be connected to a 1990's Receiver for surround sound? I have a 1990 Receiver that the HDTV is connected to and I know that the Blu-Ray player connects to the HDTV via HDMI connectors but how can I connect the three devices up to get the surround sound I want?”

• You can't. The surround sound signal comes through the HDMI cable. Your receiver can't process the surround sound signal.

• 1. Blu Ray video to TV, coax audio (single RCA connecter) to receiver. OR 2. Blu Ray HDMI to TV, TV audio out to receiver (RCA, optical, 1/8 stereo to RCA) however you are able to. The TV should output the audio from whichever source is active at the moment.

• A 1990 receiver will probably not have true surround sound. But if it has a coaxial digital audio input(single rca usually orange) , the samsung has that surround sound audio output. Then just use the hdmi directly to the TV and turn the TV sound all the way down.
