A:AnswerThe item in question here is a BLU RAY PLAYER. If you're trying to play a DVD from outside the USA, it most likely won't work. However, if you're interested in watching high definition content, which is the main reason for buying a blu ray player, then you would most likely --- not always -- have no trouble watching a Blu ray disc made in Europe or Japan or wherever on this blu ray disc b/c MOST BDs are not region locked like DVDs are, which makes no sense to me, but regardless; region codes for DVDs would cease to exist if the key to playing a DVD that Hollywood didn't intend for you to buy in the first place was simply going to the store and buying a Blu ray player. Region codes exist to keep people from advance screenings of movies. In China, THE HUNGER GAMES MOCKINGJAY PART I didn't get released for months after the film was released to the US. The film was already on video by the time Chinese theaters were granted permission by the Chinese gov't to see the movie. Ticket sales would have drastically decreased if region codes didn't exist. Of course, international law has no loyalty to Hollywood, so in many places, such as England, you can buy a multi-region DVD player at the store w/o any red tape. Us Americans have the blessing and curse of birthing Hollywood. Hollywood is USA showbiz, but its a business like any other and if someone who knew nothing about retail tried telling Sam Walton that his Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner priced at $20 was a fleece to the American people, as much as he loved saying "The customer is always right" the fact of the matter is that said individual is not running Wal-Mart and would be clueless if they were hired to do so.
A:AnswerThe DVD player utilizes an HDMI output cable so if the bose system has an HDMI input you will be all set, The DVD player also has an optical audio output which can be used to connect to the bose system using a digital ( fiber optic) cable if the bose has an a digital audio input. The samsung dvd player uses all the same/standard cables ( i,e, HDMI ) as other dvd players, The question will be the adaptability of your Bose unit to accept these state pf the art players.
A:AnswerThe player does not further enhance what your tv can already do. It utilizes the 4k capability of your tv when it upscales regular BlueRay Discs to that resolution. If you had a regular HD tv then the player would not upscale to 4K. However, if you are otherwise only watching regular HD content from cable you will see a difference when your tv displays the upscaled 4k resolution.
A:AnswerNo. And here is why.
3D is not about just player, or just a TV set. It's about TV + Glasses + Player. There are several (at least two) different 3D-technologies on the market, and for each 3D TV one has to use _proper_ 3D glasses:
1. "active 3D" uses switching left/right view by blocking (like 50 times per sec) between left and right eye. This kind TV must have a glass-TV synchronization device inside.
2. "passive 3D" involves polarized glasses. This kind TV must have a polarized screen coating.
"Normal", or non-3D TV doesn't have neither of these. No 3D-player can introduce any of these _hardware_ features to a TV.
