Usually most laptops have a wide range for voltage inputs for the chargers/power bricks for example the one for my laptop says 100-240VAC, all you would need is a converter for the US 120VAC 3 prong to a Euro plug adapter. Sorry don't know what type of wall power pugs are actually used in Africa I just assume its the same as Europe.
