If you only want to use Google Docs, this is great. For MS Office, you can try office 365. Much cheaper than full version.
There is a free cloud based Office suite you can use with the Chromebook
Absolutely. If I were going off to college, not interested in PC gaming, this would be my computer of choice. I might invest in a wireless mouse for added comfort while studying at a desk.
Hi Nadia, yes, Google Docs does work with the Chromebook and can be used to open, edit, and create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. ^Rosi
It is SUPER easy. All you do is type up the document you want in Google Docs and then save it as a .doc or .docx file. Doing this will allow you to not only open it in Google Docs, but also in Word. ALSO, office has an online option that you can sign up for and it's free. It has less bells and whistles, but works great.
