• The steel top is very easy to clean because the caps to the burners come right off. HOWEVER just as with any cooktop (and maybe even more so with any stainless top) it is absolutely IMPORTANT you are careful putting the grates into place whenever you are cleaning up. Cast iron will have no problem scratching stainless, or just about anything else to be honest. Hope that helps, we absolutely love this range so far
