From the research I've done the rule of thumb is you need 10% of the BTU rating. Doing the math means about 600 CFM. Few residential hoods go that high without breaking the bank or being very noisy/powerful. I doubt many people use all 5 burners at the same time. We went with a 425 CFM hood. It's still noisy even at low speed, wife hates the noise.
