According to the manual steam clenaing is for light soil. Self cleaning is for heavy soil. To use steam clean remove racks, put 10 oz of water in bottom of oven and press Steam Clean, then start. At end of cycle there will be water left in bottom which needs to be sopped up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't yet used either cleaining function of my range. The steam cycle is much shorter than the high heat cycle. It appears to be designed for light duty cleaning. It also make possible treating heavier messes with detergent for better results. 10 ounces of water is poured into the bottom of the oven and must be sponged out after the oven cools.
