They are very different phones. See review by Ricky - says it's AT&T branded, in which case he has the 850A and doesn't know it. The 850M is a better phone for US carrier networks, based on the specs.”

I ordered the Gold color and they shipped me G850A ATT version. I contacted them and they said they have G850H now web site says G850H in title, G850M in description. Basically they do not know what they have. it is a pain to deal with customer service. if you want G850M you won`t get it by buying this.

The model number must end in 'M.' If it ends with any other letter, it's an Alpha but not the same model. (has different frequency bands, for exammple.) The # may also be found underneath the battery. Thanks
