“Going to college and need a laptop, but with riding a Bike to school, I'm afraid of potentionally damaging a hard drive since I have in the past. Would this be a good alternative? If so, does it function as a 'normal' laptop in running programs online?”

I have had no issue and it is just as sturdy as any other Samsung tablet or phone. It's great. I bought it for classes.
