My understanding is that smart phones have to be loaded monthly, but you don't lose data from the previous month. My flip phones I have formerly used with tracphone would double or triple minutes.

Please try again later.It is my understanding the smart phones come with a $15.00, $20.00, or $30.00 card you must load each month, but if you don't use up your data it will accumulate, but you must add minutes each month. The flip phones do not have to be as long as your minutes or service have not expired.
