• If they take the same size SIM card then yes.. this phone takes the nano SIM card. What does the S4 mini use?

• Yes, you can trade the SIM card into a new device. Your new device may require a new size SIM card in which case you will need to go to AT&T, but if it is the same size it will work as expected.
