• If you buy the phone outright at full price then you do not have to sign any contract. The only thing you need to do is notify your carrier that you want to put it on your account and get the proper sim card for use with the phone. The nano sim card for the Note 5 shouldn't cost anything if you go by the AT&T store to get it.

• If you buy the phone out at full price there is no 2 year contract. Also At&t and Verizon don't do contacts anymore. Hope that answers your question.
