It is unbelievable the variance in answers we get from customer service reps. ALL VERIZON PHONES ARE UNLOCKED OUT OF THE BOX as long as you have paid the FULL PRICE for the phone (no monthly payments). Once you have paid the phone in full, you can put a SIM CARD in it from ANY MVNO that rents LTE bands from Verizon like Selectel, TracFone, StraightTalk, TotalWireless, etc.(Of course you will get slower 5mb/sec speeds but this is plenty fast enough for most people) But you can also put on the actual Verizon Prepaid which will give you full Verizon LTE speeds.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's my understanding that Verizon does not use sim card for their cell phones, that's only for T-Mobile and ATT. If this uses a sim then it probably wont work for Verizon.
