• I bought the note 8 last night after reading the fine print 10 times. I did NOT have to change my plan. I kept my 2 gig plan. Had I bought this through Verizon I would have been forced to get an unlimited plan. Best Buy has a better deal than Verizon

• You can pick any data plan you want with verizon or choose to keep the current plan. The unlinked phone contract from data plan a few years back. The monthly charge given here is only for the phone price. Data plan/mobile plan is separate and you pick what you need for that.
