Is the phone unlocked Works in S America null

it should be all phones from verizon come unlocked , tmobile and at&t are locked till 30 days after final payment . i havent tried this phone yet but the note 4 and 5 from verizon worked great on voda phone in ukraine you just have to edit the internet connection to work on the device on another carrier you may have to do research online to find proper settings depending on carrier then when you return just pop in verizon sim and it should find proper network auto .
