• Not sure which version of Android Kit Kat is, but recently got the upgrade to Android 5. Hope this helps.

• My Galaxy S4 is operating on Android 4.4.4. I believe 4.4 is "kit kat", and so it can use this operating system. Mine came installed with it, not sure what is required to upgrade.
